COMMENTS

The square steel tube frame was simple to weld up. The head and tail structures are 1/8" plate formed to a U-shape with a press brake then welded to 1/4" steel bulkheads. These box shapes were in turn welded to the frame. The drive shaft had tapped holes at both ends so you could turn large bowls off the end. I fitted a variable speed belt drive inside the head stock weldment which worked wonderfully. With some sparkle glow AmerFlint paint left over from a previous project it came out pretty sweet. You see it here with the night vision boot pattern chucked up.
