COMMENTS

At the request of my old friend Bill Higgins, I worked up a set of lines for this small dingy. Bill wanted a tender that was stable when stepping into so I kept the turn of the bilge relatively hard and pushed extra buoyancy forward. Molded from pre-preg and using a unique lattice of silicon rubber mandrels for creating the structure, these boats came out at under 50-lbs!


FOOTNOTE

When we brought the strip planked plug up to a polished tooling surface our neighbor Leny (expert furniture refinisher from the Bronx) stopped by and made us feel pretty good. He said if he had a Steinway piano in he'd get us to get the surface that perfect for him.
